Photography has been a part of my life since I was a kid! I can remember sitting at our family computer in Alvin, TX, editing pictures with iPhoto as a fifth grader and being fascinated with it. My passion and knowledge for photography grew from there on to when I began to desire to work a DLSR camera manually! So like any junior high kid, I took my dad’s old camera (sorry, dad!) and began watching YouTube videos that explained exactly what all of those little dials and numbers meant. I would often walk next door to my grandma's garden after school and practice implementing what I was learning by taking photos of plants, chickens, and our dogs! I had the amazing opportunity to become a photographer for Laity Lodge Youth Camp after my senior year of high school and then started photographing engagements and graduating seniors shortly after that during my freshman year at Texas A&M (whoop!). From then on, the Lord has blessed me by allowing my photography business to grow and expand into what it is today.
My husband Michael and I got married in May of 2019 at my parent's garden center, surrounded by beautiful blooms and the Texas hill country! There has always been something special to me about the outdoors. I love to spend time out in nature being active because that is where I see the physical creation of God. I was a mountaineering guide at Laity Lodge for a summer where an itch for rock climbing grew. I have special memories of early rock climbing expeditions at Reimer's Ranch outside of Austin, TX that my older brother was kind enough to take me on. I love riding my motorcycle with my dad outside of New Braunfels parallel to the Guadalupe River, going wake boarding and wake surfing at Canyon Lake, and hiking any trail I can find. I will also go way out of my way to pet any dog that I see!
If someone asked me if I'd rather lose my sight or hearing I wouldn’t be able to choose-- even as a photographer-- because music is a long time love of mine! I have to thank my mom for forcing me to take piano lessons as a kid because, even though I hated it at the time, it truly aided in helping me to learn how to play guitar! I am stubbornly competitive, definitely on the goofy side and relationships are a high priority for me. I love people, laughing until my stomach hurts, and making new friends!
